Private Road Standards, Options, Next Steps.

The Council will review points of consensus from the meeting of February 16, 2016 on ordinance amendments relating to the development of new private roads, and development on existing private roads.
Staff has begun work on ordinance language requiring bonds for damage arising from construction on property located on private roads, and on requiring new private roads and extensions of existing private ways to be engineered and subject to approval by the Planning Board. Before continuing that work and moving into the other areas discussed at the meeting of February 16, 2016, however, the Council should confirm that these are the areas and direction it intended.
