I.                     Council Action Requested.

Title

To approve a purchase and sale agreement for the former South Windham Fire Station located at 8 Main Street and authorize the Town Manager to take any other action related thereto to finalize the sale.

Body

II.                     Basis for Council Action.

 

Council approval of this item is required because;

 

a.                     The Council has the authority to enter into contracts as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to Article II, Section 3(I) of the Charter, and

b.                     Article 21 of the approved town warrant of June 13, 2020 authorized “the Town Council to dispose of 8 Main Street, South Windham, formerly known as the South Windham Fire Station, by such process and on such terms and conditions which are determined reasonable and appropriate”.
