I.                     Council Action Requested.

Title

To authorize the Town Manager to endorse an application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the proposed “Project Home”, formerly known as the Quality Housing Coalition, which is a multi-community block grant co-sponsored with the Town of Scarborough and City of Westbrook.

Body

II.                     Basis for Council Action.

 

Council approval of this item is required because;

 

a.                     Cumberland County CDBG program rules require the endorsement of applications for funding from local elected officials prior to submission; and

b.                     The Council has the authority to enter into contracts as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to Article II, Section 3 (1) of the Charter.
