I.                     Council Action Requested.

Title

To receive public comment and act on proposed amendments to Chapter 120 Land Use Ordinance of the Code of the Town of Windham, Article 3 Definitions, Article 5 Performance Standards, and Table 2 in Appendix B, designating Veterans Memorial Drive as a Controlled Access Street, which is consistent with the goals and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan.

II.                     Basis for Council Action.

 

Council approval of this item is required because;

 

a.                     The Town may enact reasonable by-laws, regulations and ordinances for municipal purposes pursuant to Article I, Section 2 of the Charter, and

b.                     The Council has the authority to act as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to Article II, Section 3 (I) of the Charter.
