I. Council Action Requested.
Title
To authorize the Town Manager to approve qualifying applications for additional for senior property tax assistance for the next 60-days and process from property tax assistance program account 18300-46930 as needed.

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a. Pursuant to Section 6 of the Property Tax Assistance Ordinance, Chapter 209, Article I as adopted by the Council on October 10, 2017, the Council shall consider approval “at its second meeting in August each year the projected payments and number of eligible applicants requesting assistance from the program fund.”
III. Issue Summary.
Eligibility for this refund is based on applicants’ household income for 2023 and taxes paid for 2023-2024. Application deadlines were August 1, 2024.
