To authorize the Town Manager to advertise and begin the disposition process for identified tax acquired properties.

II. Basis for Council Action.

Council approval of this item is required because;

a.) Pursuant to Article I, Section 2 of the Charter, the Town may acquire property for any Town purpose, in fee simple or any lesser interest or estate, by purchase gift, devise, lease, or condemnation and may sell, lease mortgage, hold, manage and control such property as its interest may require.
b.) The Town Council has established a policy on disposition of tax acquired property.

III. Issue Summary.
Please find the attached materials and suggested initial list of tax acquired properties recommended be advertised for sale.

Pursuant to the Town Council's policy on tax-acquired property, these 15 parcels which the Town has acquired an interest through automatic foreclosure of a tax lien will be advertised for sale by bid.
The public sale, sale by sealed bid, or any other conveyance of real property of the Town of Windham not covered by this policy shall require the approval of the Town Council. The Town Council expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or offers on any property.
