To appoint a representative and alternate representative to the ecomaine board of directors. (Typically meets the third Thursday of each month at 4PM.)

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a. the bylaws of ecomaine require member communities to appoint representatives to its board of directors,
b. Windham is assigned one (1) member of the ecomaine board of directors,
c. the three-year term of the current representative to the ecomaine board of directors expires this year, and
d. pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the Charter "[t]he Town Council, hereinafter called the 'Council', shall be and constitute the municipal officers of the Town."
III. Issue Summary.
Assistant Town Manager, Robert Burns and Councilor Jarrod Maxfield were appointed as representative and alternate representative respectively at the council meeting of July 11, 2023, by Order 23-134.
We would like the Council to make this appointment, as is required by the ecomaine bylaws, as part of their annual after-election process.
