To set seasonal weight limits on roads.

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a. 29-A M.R.S.A. §2395(4) authorizes the municipal officers of any municipality to establish weight restrictions on public ways;
b. There are public ways which are likely to be damaged by heavy traffic during certain times of year; and
c. pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the Charter "[t]he Town Council, hereinafter called the 'Council', shall be and constitute the municipal officers of the Town."
