I. Council Action Requested.
Title
To appoint the Town Clerk’s recommendation of Yvonne Myer as Chairman to the Voter Registration Appeals Board, a four-year term to expire August 15, 2029.

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a. M.R.S.A. title 21-A, Chapter 3, § 103 (1) outlines requirements for municipal officials to appoint members of a Registration Appeals Board (See attached copy of the law)
b. Pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the Charter “[t]he Town Council, hereinafter called the ‘Council’, shall be and constitute the municipal officers of the Town.”
III. Issue Summary.
Please refer to the attached memo from the Clerk, which lists the Clerk’s nominee. This appointment is a four-year term.
Marcia Blanchard passed away during her term which would have ended 8/15/2025.
