I. Council Action Requested.
Title
To enter into executive session to meet with the town attorney for an update on legal matters in accordance with Title 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(E).

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
- 1 M.R.S.A. § 402(2)(C) defines "public proceedings" as the transactions of any functions affecting any or all citizens of the State by any of the following: "Any board, commission, agency or authority of any county, municipality, school district or any regional or other political or administrative subdivision",
- 1 M.R.S.A § 405(3) states that "Executive sessions may be called only by a public, recorded vote of 3/5 of the members, present and voting, of such bodies or agencies," and
- the article contemplates the discussion of legal matters with the town attorney.
