To approve an agreement between the Town of Windham and the Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) to issue a construction overlimit permit to the contractor providing construction services for proposed projects located on Route 302.

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a.) The Council has the authority to enter into contracts as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to Article II, Section 3(I) of the Charter.
III. Issue Summary.
As part of MDOT's proposed improvements to Route 302, the Town has been asked to enter into an agreement permitting the contractor(s) to cross municipal roads with overweight vehicles. Please refer to the attached copy of that agreement.
Project 22476 begins in Windham .01 miles north of Whites Bridge Road and extends northwesterly 12.16 miles to .14 miles east of Route 35 in Naples.
Project 23923 begins in Naples .14 miles east of Route 35 and extends westerly 7.19 miles to Route 117 in Bridgton.
Project 24203 begins in Windham .04 miles south of Colonial Park Drive and extends north .23 miles to .01 miles south of Viola Street in Raymond.
