To make an appointment to the Town Council.

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a. There is a vacant seat on the Council,
b. The seat remained vacant when no one was elected at the municipal election November 2016, and
c. Pursuant to Article II, Section 2(D), “In case of a vacancy caused by death, resignation or other cause, the vacancy shall be filled at the next regular Municipal election for the unexpired term. The Council shall fill vacancies in its number occurring between regular Municipal elections, and the term of office of any member of the Council so chosen shall expire at the next Municipal election.”
III. Issue Summary.
The Council invited applications to fill the vacant seat and held interviews at a special meeting held on February 2, 2017.
