I. Council Action Requested.
Title
To approve an agreement with the Town of Gray to extend winter maintenance to the portion of Mt. Hunger Shore Road located in the Town of Gray for a period of five (5) years.

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a. the Council has the authority to act as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to Article II, Section 3(I) of the Charter.
III. Issue Summary.
The Town of Windham contracts with Sumerian Irrigation to plow the portion of Mt. Hunger Shore Road that lies in Windham. The Town of Gray has a public easement over that portion of the road that lies in Gray (0.464 miles) but is only accessible through Windham. In 2009 the towns entered into an agreement to have Windham’s contractor extend their route to include Gray’s portion of the road with those costs to be reimbursed by Gray. This arrangement has worked well but needs to be updated since the last agreement expired in 2016.
