To award a bid for the purchase of one (1) 2018 cab and chassis from Daigle and Houghton in the amount of $91,500.00 plus $1,200 for on board diagnostic equipment and software for a total of $92,700.00 and related plow and sanding gear from HP Fairfield in the amount of $74,999, for a total price of $167,699.00 less trade of $32,500 for a final cost of $135,199. This purchase would come from account 100-9110-44190 from the fiscal 2018 budget, financed through a municipal lease-purchase agreement, and replace a 2008 International truck.

I. Council Action Requested.

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a) The Council has the authority to enter into contracts as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to Article II, Section 3(1) of the Charter, and
b) Council action is required because the order authorizes a purchase requiring financing under Section 5, Paragraph 4 of the Purchasing Policy adopted by order 09-105 on July 28, 2009.
III. Issue Summary.
This purchase replaces a 2008 International as described in the capital equipment replacement plan project sheet for PW-2017-001.
