Elderly Property Tax Assistance Program.

The Council will review a draft ordinance establishing a property tax assistance program for homeowners and renters aged 65 and older. This is a follow up on the Council’s discussion of item CD 17-203 at its meeting of July 11, 2017.
The draft ordinance is based on that used by the Town of Cumberland (copy attached) and parameters discussed at the meeting of July 11, 2017. Also attached is a copy of materials regarding the Town of Scarborough’s property tax assistance program.
