II. Basis for Council Action.

Council approval of this item is required because;

a. Pursuant to Article II, Section 3(C) the Council shall have the power to "the membership of such advisory committees as the Council shall create," and
b. At its meeting of August 22, 2017 (order 17-150) the Council voted to establish a Long Range Planning Committee, which includes one (1) member appointed from and by the Town Council.
