II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a) M.R.S.A. Title 21-A, Chapter 3, ? 103 (1) outlines requirements for municipal officials to appoint members of a Registration Appeals Board (see attached copy of the law).
b) Pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the Charter "[t]he Town Council, hereinafter called the 'Council', shall be and constitute the municipal officers of the Town."
III. Issue Summary.
Please refer to the attached letter and email to Town Clerk Linda Morrell, which lists the nominees.
These seats are for a (3) three-year term, expiring in 2021.
