To endorse an application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the Group Home project as proposed by Port Resources.

II. Basis for Council Action.
Council approval of this item is required because;
a. Cumberland County CDBG program rules require the endorsement of applications for funding from local elected officials prior to submission, and
b. The deadline for the pre-application submission was December 11, 2019.
III. Issue Summary.
A copy of the pre-application is attached, which includes a description of the project, its purpose, rationale, cost, and proposed funding. Consistent with the Council’s discussion on January 21st, the CDBG request is for $57,150 and an additional 10% will be matched by Port City Resources.
